Saturday, January 21, 7:30 pm • $30, $25, $20
DHPAC is proud to present The Black Tie Affair Orchestra’s most popular show TRIBUTE TO THE BIG BANDS which is nothing short of spectacular. You'll enjoy the original arrangements of Glenn Miller, Harry James, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Stan Kenton, Ray Anthony, Les Brown, Duke Ellington, Charlie Barnett, Lionel Hampton, Woody Herman, and many others as well as outstanding vocals by legendary vocalist and performer Phyllis Tagg. As recently featured in NEWSDAY, The Black Tie Affair Orchestra is hands-down Long Island’s leading classic Big Band. Musical Director Tom Manuel brings to the 17-piece classic dance orchestra not just his classic solo trumpet renditions reminiscent of Harry James, Charlie Spivak and Ray Anthony, but he brings his expertise in the nuances and history of the Big Band Era and an expansive library of music which encompasses over 10,000 arrangements! BTAO's performance at the DHPAC will be the classic TRIBUTE TO THE BIG BANDS. The sounds of the 40s will be alive and well once again at DHPAC.
