What’s so special about DHPAC?
DHPAC is a Long Island venue that supports the Long Island music and theatre scene. In addition, our events feature New York City, national and international talent.
By coming to DHPAC/ Dix Hills Performing Arts Center – instead of a show on Broadway or at Carnegie Hall – you can enjoy proximity, free parking, lower prices, and the fact that you are supporting local artists.
DHPAC is part of a wide learning and arts community including Five Towns College students, graduate students, and faculty.
Which kinds of events does DHPAC present?
Our focus is on music, comedy and theatre events. We also present magic shows and other special presentations. Because of our association with The John Lennon Center for Music & Technology, we hold an annual, multimedia, birthday celebration to remember John Lennon, as well as frequent Beatles events with various musicians and Beatles scholars.
We are pleased to present many family events, including children’s theatre and presentations that include music history. We are an excellent source for things to do on Long Island.
Which communities does DHPAC serve?
DHPAC is located in Dix Hills, Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. DHPAC is convenient to Nassau County, as well, with many visitors from Syosset, Plainview, Bethpage, Farmingdale, and Massapequa. We are worth the trip from New York City (where many of our performers, faculty, and students commute from), and we are near the following Long Island Railroad Stations: “Babylon”, “Wyandanch”, and “Huntington Station.” Many of our audience members come from the towns of Huntington, Babylon, Smithtown, Islip and Oyster Bay.
Which organizations does DHPAC work with?
DHPAC is located on the campus of Five Towns College, a private college in the public service.
DHPAC often presents programs in conjunction with: The John Lennon Center for Music & Technology, Five Towns College faculty and student projects, and the Entertainment Industry Gallery of Honor at Five Towns College.
What is DHPAC?
The Performing Arts Foundation of Dix Hills is a nonprofit entity located at Five Towns College. The Foundation’s mission is to support charitable, educational, literary, civic and cultural events for the benefit of the community.
