Macbeth by William Shakespeare is a thrill-ride of

human response to ambition and temptation with a generation

of Celtic spirits that reached for position and power.

The play studies powerful individuals who are caught by

temptation in a whirlpool of consequence and revelation about

the outcomes of character-defining choices.

Shakespeare’s rich text gives us a profound take on the

psychological effect of known historical events

We have chosen to set the play in an alternate universe:

post-apocalyptic 2020 on the ruins of Stirling Castle in Scotland

where the Royal Guard fight to re-establish order against the underworld

of mercenary traffickers and lords of misrule, assisted by

Druid “witches” and other supernatural beings.

The battle for order and human goodness against chaos is fought out

with medieval broadswords and bouts of wit and cunning.
